As a state affiliate of National Council of Professors of Educational Administration, the NJ-NCPEA is a separate organization that works collaboratively as part of the national organization to foster the common values and goals of NCPEA.

The primary purpose of NJ-NCPEA includes but is not limited to:

(1) positively impact school leadership policy, practice and preparation in the State of New Jersey through the collective influence of all of New Jersey’s university and college preparation programs;

(2) to network, share ideas and provide professional development opportunities to all members of NJ-NCPEA through meetings and the annual conference; and

(3) to keep NJ professors and practitioners informed of both the local and national issues related to the work of the National Council of Professors of Educational Administration (NCPEA), the National Policy Board for Educational Administration (NPBEA), and the Educational Leadership Constituent Council (ELCC).
